IDYLLWILD-PINE COVE, CA (September 23, 2021) — Officials reported a double hit-and-run crash on Double View Drive on Saturday, September 11.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, two unknown drivers crashed on Double View Drive near Inspiration Lane at 2:50 a.m.
 
CHP Public Information Officer Matt Napier said a white 2008 Ford F150 moved in the westbound lane at an unknown speed. At the same time, a gray 2007 Honda Accord traveled eastbound at an unknown speed.
 
Reports said that the left side of the Ford collided with the left side of the Honda. After that, the driver of the Ford lost control and crashed into a large pine tree on the north shoulder.
 
When CHP arrived, there are no drivers present in the area.
 
Officials believed one of the vehicles veered toward the other lane.
 
Idyllwild Garage towed both cars.
