2 Women Die in Pedestrian Crash on Mission Street in San Francisco

 
SAN FRANCISCO (May 23, 2022) — Two women died in a pedestrian accident on Mission Street at 3rd Street on Sunday afternoon.
 
According to San Francisco police, the fatal accident happened around 4:30 p.m. near the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. For unknown reasons, a taxi driver crashed into another car, causing the cab to strike several people on the sidewalk.
 
Among those people hit were two women, who both succumbed to their injuries and died.
 
Shortly after, paramedics and authorities responded to bring one male driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
At this time, police say drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played a role in this crash. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm any unclear details. If anyone has more information on this incident, please contact the San Francisco police.
