Rider Dies after Crash with SUV on Highway 26 in Stockton

 
STOCKTON, CA (May 23, 2022) – One person was killed in motorcycle accident on Highway 26 in Stockton on Friday evening, May 20.
 
The accident happened around 8:39 p.m. near Beecher Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Explorer collided with the motorcycle in unclear circumstances. The impact sent the motorcycle into the ditch on the right shoulder of the freeway.
 
First responders found the motorcyclist down on the roadway with significant injuries. They attempted life-saving measures, but the victim died at the scene.
 
The name, age and hometown of the motorcyclist were not immediately available.
