Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Citrus Avenue in Fontana

 
FONTANA, CA (May 23, 2022) – A man died in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Citrus Avenue in Fontana, early Sunday morning on May 22.
 
The fatal crash happened around 1:42 a.m. near the 10 Freeway. According to the Fontana Police Department, officers received a report of a white male adult lying on the roadway.
 
When they arrived, they located the man in the center divider with fatal injuries. The man, whose identity was not immediately available, died at the scene.
 
The victim appeared to have been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
 
Police said another vehicle, possibly a dark Chevrolet Camaro or a Dodge Charger, may have been involved. The car should have rear-end damage from the crash.
 
At this time, an investigation is ongoing and police are still on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect.
