2 Pedestrians Struck, Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver on Chester Avenue in Oildale

 
OILDALE, CA (June 26, 2023) — Two pedestrians were hit and injured by a hit-and-run driver on Chester Avenue near Ferguson Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run accident happened Friday night. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a lifted black Chevrolet pickup struck two pedestrians crossing Chester Avenue. The driver left the scene of the accident, traveling westbound on Washington Street. Both victims were thrown onto the roadway from the No. 1 lane.
 
Moments later, paramedics took both patients to an area hospital for treatment of major injuries. At this time, officers do not have the suspect’s name. If anyone has seen this hit-and-run, please call the CHP.
