2 Injured, Plane Accident near Union Mine Road in Calaveras County

 
CALAVERAS COUNTY, CA (March 6, 2023) — Two people were injured after a plane crashed Friday near Union Mine Road and Highway 49.
 
According to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, the plane crash happened around 11:45 a.m. north of the Calaveras County Airport. For unknown reasons, a single-engine aircraft crashed in San Andreas. Two people reported injuries.
 
Upon responding, paramedics airlifted one victim out of the scene to a hospital and another one was taken by ground ambulance to a Central Valley Hospital.
 
Information surrounding what caused the crash, and whether it happened during landing or take off, remains unclear. However, the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
