2 Hurt in Head-On Accident on Panama Lane in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 22, 2024) — Two people suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash on Panama Lane near Oswell Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash happened on January 14 around 5:04 a.m. For unknown reasons, an eastbound 2022 Cadillac moving at an unknown speed crashed head-on with a westbound 2013 GMC, also moving at an unclear speed.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene and took the 62-year-old Bakersfield man driving the GMC and the male piloting the Cadillac to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Meanwhile, police officers stayed on site to investigate whether drugs or alcohol factored into the cause.
