2 Die in Sacramento County Multi-Car Crash on Highway 160

 
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (December 30, 2021) — Two people died in a multi-car accident on Highway 160 near Three Mile Slough Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car crash happened around 9:01 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a Nissan crossed over the double yellow lines and sideswiped a Toyota traveling in the opposite direction. Subsequently, the Toyota spun out while the passenger side of the Nissan collided with a GMC.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the Nissan driver and a 48-year-old Nissan passenger suffered fatal injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old woman from Elk Grove driving the Toyota and the 44-year-old man from Winters operating the GMC suffered minor wounds.
 
At this time, authorities have ruled out DUI as a possible explanation for the accident. However, anyone with more information should contact the Sacramento Police Department.
