12-Year-Old Boy and 8-Year-Old Girl Hurt after Bicycle Accident on Bombay Street in Sylmar

 
SYLMAR, CA (March 28, 2022) – Two children sustained injuries in a bicycle accident on Bombay Street on Sunday afternoon.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident happened on March 27 at about 4:30 p.m. A 12-year-old boy and his 8-year-old sister were riding the same bicycle when a car hit them on the 13300 block of Bombay Street.
 
Emergency crews transported the victims to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Shortly after 6:00 p.m., the victims were reported to be in stable condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
As per reports, no criminal charges were filed.
 
The Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
