21 Hospitalized after Car Crashes into Day Care Center on Balls Ferry Road in Anderson

 
ANDERSON, CA (March 4, 2022) – Nineteen children and two adults were hospitalized after a car crashed into a day care center on Balls Ferry Road, Thursday afternoon.
 
According to the Anderson Police Department, the incident happened on March 3 at about 2:30 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, an SUV crashed into Great Adventures Christian Preschool.
 
Emergency crews transported fourteen children to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation. Five more children were taken to hospitals by their parents.
 
As per reports, two of the children were taken to a pediatric intensive care unit at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
 
Responders also transported at least two school employees to nearby hospitals.
 
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Anderson police ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
