Bicyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries after Hit by Vehicle on Ming Avenue in Southwest Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 21, 2023) – A 16-year-old was seriously injured in a bicycle accident at Ming Avenue and El Portal Drive in southwest Bakersfield on Friday evening.
 
The accident happened around 7:02 p.m. on March 17. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the teen bicyclist was hit by a driver who was unable to see the victim.
 
As a result, the bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics took the teen to a local hospital for proper treatment.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
