15-Year-Old Jacob Gonzalez Killed in Mini-Bike Crash on River Boulevard near Skyline Boulevard

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 4, 2024) — Jacob Gonzalez died in a mini-bike accident on River Boulevard near Skyline Boulevard.
 
According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, the deadly bike accident happened around 9:40 p.m. on February 27. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck 15-year-old Gonzalez, who was on a makeshift gas-powered mini-bike with his 16-year-old brother.
 
Minutes later, paramedics responded and brought him to Kern Medical Center, where he died Wednesday morning. Authorities learned that the crash occurred as the pair headed home.
