Teen Suffers Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Mountain Vista Drive

 
SOUTHWEST BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 26, 2021) – A 13-year-old boy suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Mountain Vista Drive in Southwest Bakersfield Friday morning.
 
The crash happened just before 8:15 a.m. on October 22. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the boy was walking in the 4600 block of Mountain Vista Drive when a dark-colored Ford Flex struck him. The driver then fled from the scene without rendering aid.
 
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital with moderate injuries.
 
Authorities said the driver is suspected to be a man. No other information is available at this time.
 
An investigation is ongoing. Police asked anyone with information about this case to call the BPD at 661-327-7111.
