Boy Suffers Serious Injuries after Struck by Car on North Santa Fe Avenue in Vista

 
VISTA, CA (September 6, 2022) – An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on North Santa Fe Avenue in Vista on Friday night, September 2.
 
The accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. at the intersection with Vista Village Drive. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the boy was trying to cross the street against traffic when an oncoming car struck him.
 
An air ambulance took the child to Rady’s Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. However, he is expected to survive them.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Alcohol and/or drug intoxication did not play a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
