Woman Dead in Car Accident on Highway 99 [Tipton, CA]

Woman Killed, Passenger Injured in Car Crash on Highway 99 near Avenue 152

 
TIPTON, CA (September 6, 2022) — A 62-year-old Sacramento woman died after a car accident on Highway 99 in Tulare on Sunday, September 4.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Highway 99 just north of Avenue 152.
 
For an undetermined reason, the woman let her vehicle drift off to the left shoulder of the roadway. Then she over-corrected and veered in the opposite direction.
 
Her car then subsequently went up an embankment. After that, it went through a chain link fence that separates Highway 99 from Thompson Road.
 
The car rolled over and ejected the driver from the vehicle. She succumbed to sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
 
Medics rushed a 40-year-old front passenger to Kaweah Health for treatment of her injuries.
