NORWALK, CA (April 17, 2024) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on the 605 Freeway near the 105 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 9:15 a.m. Monday. For unknown reasons, an unidentified person was on the southbound 605 Freeway. Subsequently, a driver traveling near the 105 Freeway interchange struck the individual.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and confirmed one fatality. Authorities have not released the pedestrian’s name pending family notification or information on the driver.
 
Due to the crash, police rerouted commuters away from the area while they investigated.
