1 Person Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Avenal Cutoff Road in Kings County

 
KINGS COUNTY, CA (October 3, 2022) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Avenal Cutoff Road at 29th Avenue on Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 6:00 a.m. Officers learned that a motorcyclist heading southbound struck an oncoming car that pulled in front of the bike as its driver tried to turn off the road.
 
Subsequently, the rider was ejected off the motorcycle onto the road where he was hit by a passing semi-truck.
 
For unknown reasons, the semi-truck driver did not stop, and the victim sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
 
Following the accident, paramedics and authorities responded. The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
 
Police have recovered a GoPro camera that the man was wearing, so hopefully, they can use that to identify what had happened. If anyone has more information on the fatal accident, please contact the CHP.
