1 Dies in Davis Motorcycle Crash on 80 Freeway

 
DAVIS, CA (February 20, 2023) — One person died during Saturday’s motorcycle accident on the 80 Freeway near Mace Boulevard.
 
According to Caltrans, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 7:00 p.m. Under unexplained circumstances, a motorcyclist heading westbound on the 80 Freeway was hit. As a result of the collision, the victim perished at the scene. Officials have not released the motorcyclist’s name, however.
 
Arriving officials closed one lane for the investigation, and the estimated time for reopening the lane was unclear.
