Car Crashes near Pleasant Valley Road in Oxnard Injuring Two Teens

 
OXNARD, CA (June 13, 2022) – A teen driver died and his teen passenger was critically injured in a car accident near Pleasant Valley Road and Longfellow Way in south Oxnard Thursday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 4:50 p.m. on June 9, just west of Rose Avenue. According to the Oxnard Police Department, the 17-year-old man from Port Hueneme was driving a 1997 Honda Accord with his 17-year-old male passenger. For unknown reasons, the teen driver lost control and hit a block wall and a palm tree.
 
The Oxnard Fire Department extricated the teens who were trapped in the car. A ground ambulance then took both to Ventura County Medical Center with critical injuries.
 
Sadly, the driver died Monday, June 13. The passenger remains in the hospital.
