BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 7, 2023) — One person was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident near Fairfax Road and Edison Highway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run happened Thursday night. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a pedestrian around 9:30 p.m.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and took the victim to Kern Medical for treatment. The driver, however, had left the scene, as confirmed by police authorities.
 
At this time, the police have no information on the vehicle or driver involved. Although, if anyone has seen this accident, please call the CHP office.
