1 Hurt, Head-On Collision on Highway 32 in Chico

 
CHICO, CA (December 14, 2023) — One person was injured in a head-on crash on Highway 32 at Kennedy Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a driver of a red pickup truck attempting a left turn pulled in front of traffic. Subsequently, the red pickup struck an older Lincoln vehicle at the intersection with Kennedy Avenue.
 
Both vehicles crashed head-on, leaving the driver of the Lincoln with knee and neck injuries. Fortunately, neither the Lincoln passenger nor the red pickup driver reported any injuries.
 
Following a brief investigation at the scene, police learned that the driver of the pickup thought he had a break in traffic. However, more on this crash will be examined by traffic investigators.
