Wrong-Way Driver Causes Multi-Vehicle Accident on 101 Freeway in Hollywood

 
HOLLYWOOD, CA (December 12, 2023) – At least one person suffered injuries in a wrong-way accident on 101 Freeway, early Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on December 11, at about 2:00 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a northbound vehicle was traveling in the southbound lanes. There, the driver collided with at least five vehicles near the Sunset Boulevard off-ramp.
 
Paramedics transported one person to a local hospital. As per reports, the victim is in critical condition.
 
Responders temporarily closed affected lanes to make way for tow trucks. Clearing operations lasted until 3:30 a.m.
