1 Hospitalized after DUI Accident on 10 Freeway [Pomona, CA]

Driver Arrested after DUI Multi-Vehicle Accident on 10 Freeway near 71 Freeway

 
POMONA, CA (April 17, 2023) – One person sustained injuries in a DUI accident on 10 Freeway, early Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on April 16, at about 2:27 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, at least three vehicles collided near 71 Freeway.
 
Emergency crews transported one victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
 
Authorities later arrested one driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. The driver’s name was not released.
 
Responders issued SigAlert at 2:50 a.m., prompting the shutdown of all eastbound lanes of 10 Freeway. Three tow trucks reportedly arrived to help clear the scene.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
