3 Hurt After Van and Car Collide at Market Street in Salinas

SALINAS, CA (February 7, 2025) — Three students were injured in a van accident at Market Street and Davis Road Wednesday morning.

The California Highway Patrol said the two-car crash happened around 7:00 a.m. For unspecified reasons, a Monte Vista Christian School van carrying three students turned left from Davis Road onto Highway 183. Subsequently, an Acura struck the side of the van, causing the van to flip over.

Fortunately, everyone on board the van was wearing their seatbelt. Three students from Monte Vista Christian School suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Following the crash, authorities investigated the details of the accident but did not speak on the fault or cause. If anyone has more information, call the CHP.

Use caution when driving. Checking both ways before turning, watching your speed and giving yourself ample room can prevent traffic accidents with others. Always wear your seatbelt to prevent significant injuries.
