Gary Brennan, Jerell Cryer Hospitalized in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 near Old Stage Coach Road

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (February 7, 2025) — Gary Brennan and Jerell Cryer suffered major injuries in a 2-car accident on Highway 101 near Old Stagecoach Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol-San Luis Obispo Area Office, the two-car crash happened on February 6 around 6:44 a.m.
 
Under unclear circumstances, Gary Brennan’s northbound Toyota Tundra attempted a left turn and was hit by a southbound Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Jerell Cryer, struck Brennan’s Tundra on its right side as it entered its path.
 
Cryer’s Silverado could not avoid the Tundra and rolled over after the impact, spilling about 75 gallons of diesel fuel onto the roadway.
 
Subsequently, firefighter-paramedics responded and extricated both men who were trapped and took them to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
 
CHP officers searched for clues leading to the accident and did not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a role.
