1 Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Hageman Road in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 27, 2024) — One person died in a motorcycle accident on Hageman Road near Brandt Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly motorcycle accident happened around 3:00 p.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, a 23-year-old driving a Dodge Ram left the eastbound lane while driving about 57 miles per hour. Subsequently, the pickup crossed the double yellow lines and crashed into a westbound motorcycle.
 
Minutes later, paramedics and police arrived to find the 50-year-old motorcyclist with fatal injuries. Both vehicles stopped on the shoulder of Hageman Road where authorities closed the area for two hours to investigate.
 
At the time of the report, police said alcohol and drugs did not factor into the cause. However, an investigation should reveal more information.
