CHICO, CA (February 27, 2024) — Eliasar Seadler was involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on Highway 99 near Esplanade.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 11:15 p.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, a male pedestrian was in the southbound lane of the highway. Subsequently, Seadler ,of Oroville, noticed the man and slammed on his brakes before hitting him with his semi-truck. As a result of the impact, the victim passed away.
 
At the time of the report, authorities did not know why the man was in the road, to begin with. However, an investigation into this crash should confirm the details.
