1 Killed, Driver Leaves Multi-Vehicle Collision on 880 Freeway in Hayward

 
HAYWARD, CA (November 20, 2023) — One person died in a multi-car accident on 880 Freeway near 8th Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly hit-and-run happened around 9:50 p.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, four vehicles, including a Ford F-350, a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Camry, collided on the northbound 880 Freeway.
 
As a result of the collision, a Corolla passenger suffered fatal injuries.
 
Soon after, officials and paramedics responded and everyone but the Camry driver remained at the crash site. All others cooperated with the police investigators to identify what led to the impact.
