Woman Hurt After Car and Patrol Vehicle Collide on Coronado Avenue Imperial Beach

 
IMPERIAL BEACH, CA (August 12, 2022) — A woman was injured after a car and a police vehicle crashed on Coronado Avenue at Hollister Street on Wednesday.
 
According to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, the two-vehicle accident took place around 5:16 p.m. As an officer assigned to the Imperial Beach Department was on his way to an emergency call with flashing lights and a siren, the patrol vehicle crashed into a white Ford Mustang, which entered the intersection from the 5 Freeway off-ramp.
 
It appears the patrol vehicle crashed into the passenger side of the Ford, according to reports.
