House Damaged in San Diego Hit-and-Run Crash on Blue Jay Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 12, 2022) — A home was damaged in a hit-and-run accident on Blue Jay Drive near Meadow Lark Drive on Thursday morning.
According to the San Diego police, officers received a call around 4:45 a.m. Reportedly, two cars were speeding down the 2400 block of Blue Jay Drive. Subsequently, one of the vehicles crashed into a parked car before ramming through a fence and hitting the side of a house on Blue Jay Drive.
As a result, the house sustained unknown damage and the fence was destroyed.
The driver in the vehicle fled the scene of that accident and headed northbound on Highway 163 before hitting another car at Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.
The four people inside the vehicle tried to flee the scene but were apprehended by San Diego Police. During the investigation, officers learned that impairment might have played a part in this accident.
