Fatal Multi-Car Crash on Highway 67 in Ramona

 
RAMONA, CA (June 8, 2022) — One person died in a multi-car accident on Highway 67 near Mussey Grade Road on Monday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle accident happened around 4:15 p.m. For unknown reasons, two cars collided head-on, and a third vehicle became involved in the wreck somehow.
 
As soon as Cal Fire San Diego and officers arrived, they found a car in a nearby ditch.
 
One gravely injured person received life-saving measures by paramedics. However, despite these attempts, the unidentified individual succumbed to severe injuries.
 
A second person also sustained mild wounds and receive care at the scene.
 
At this time, officers have not established the leading cause of the crash. However, an ongoing investigation should determine the events before the crash. If any witnesses would like to help the CHP, please call the department.
