Three Hurt after Big Rig Chain Reaction Accident on Highway 120 near Union Road

 
MANTECA, CA (November 22, 2021) — Multiple people suffered injuries in a chain-reaction crash on Highway 120 on Thursday, November 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place on eastbound Highway 120 near Union Road shortly after 11:30 a.m.
 
The CHP said one big rig rear-ended another big rig. The impact caused the second one to rear-end a third vehicle.
 
In total, three people had injuries. One suffered major injuries and two had minor injuries.
 
Officials closed the lengthy road due to hazardous material falling onto the roadway. The CHP said it appears that the material was probably gasoline or fluids spilled during the incidents.
 
Officials reopened all lanes at about 3:42 p.m.
