Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Two-Vehicle Accident on 3rd Street in Eureka

 
EUREKA, CA (November 1, 2021) – Authorities are searching for a suspected hit-and-run driver following a two-vehicle accident on 3rd Street, Friday morning.
 
According to the Eureka Police Department, the incident happened on October 29 at about 9:45 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a 2-door Mercedes collided with a silver sedan.
 
Emergency crews did not specify whether or not anyone sustained injuries in the collision.
 
As per reports, the driver of the silver sedan remained at the scene and safely moved out of the roadway. However, the driver of the Mercedes immediately left the scene.
 
Witnesses claim that the Mercedes continued westbound on 3rd Street.
 
Eureka police continue to investigate the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
