Clyde Holes Dies in Ramona Rollover Car Crash

 
RAMONA, CA (September 28, 2021) — A man died in a rollover accident on Highway 78 near Rancho Santa Teresa Drive Tuesday, September 14.
 
Authorities identified 72-year-old Clyde Richard Holes of Santa Ysabel, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, Holes drove west on Highway 78 near Rancho Santa Teresa Drive about 8:10 p.m. when he failed to navigate a curve.
 
As a result, Holes’ truck veered off the highway and overturned down an embankment, throwing him from the vehicle. A passerby who saw the headlights of the vehicle off the roadway called 911.
 
Soon after, Fire Department officials responded to attempt life-saving measures. However, Holes died at the scene.
 
The surviving family and friends of Clyde Holes set up a GoFundMe for costs.
 
A passenger was hurt and trapped in the pickup. Firefighters freed the 32-year-old man from the wreckage. After that, paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.
 
Investigators did not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
 
At this time, the accident requires further investigation. Therefore, anyone with more information on this crash should contact the CHP.
