Police Arrest Driver on Suspicion for DUI after Fiery Rollover Crash on Highway 41 in Fresno County

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (September 24, 2021) – A driver was arrested for DUI after a fiery rollover accident on Highway 41 in Fresno County late Wednesday evening.
 
The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on September 22, just south of American Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling southbound on the highway when it lost control and drifted onto the center divider. It then overturned and caught fire.
 
The passenger inside pulled the driver out of the car. Paramedics arrived soon after and took both the driver and passenger to a Fresno hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
Officers said they smelled alcohol on the driver’s breath. They arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
An investigation into this accident is ongoing.
