Police Vehicle Involved in T-Bone Crash on 28th Street in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 26, 2021) – A San Diego Police officer suffered injuries in a T-bone crash on 28th Street on August 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at K Street around 11:30 PM.
 
Based on reports, the victim was in a police SUV at the intersection at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a silver sedan ran a red light and T-boned the vehicle. Subsequently, the silver car’s driver got out of the car and ran away, but several witnesses chased after him.
 
As a result, the police officer suffered minor injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
 
In the end, officers found the suspect driver about a block away from the crash scene and took him into custody.
