Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Passing Car near Pecan and Madera Avenues

 
MADERA, CA (August 2, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident near Pecan Avenue and Madera Avenue late Friday evening.
 
The accident happened around 10:00 p.m. on July 30, near the southern city limits. According to the Madera Police Department, the 37-year-old man was walking in the middle of the roadway when a passing car struck him.
 
The man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
Police said the involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Drugs or alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to police.
