Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Skateboard Accident on Colden Avenue in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 21, 2021) – An 18-year-old man is now in critical condition following a skateboard accident on Colden Avenue on July 16.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Figueroa Street around 6:10 PM.

Based on reports, the victim was riding a skateboard at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle going west of Colden struck the victim. Subsequently, the impact threw the man off the skateboard and onto the roadway. Then, the vehicle continued westbound on Colden, without rendering aid to the victim.

As a result, the victim sustained critical injuries in the incident. Paramedics rushed the 18-year-old man to Harbor/UCLA Medical Center in Torrance.
