CHP Identifies Motorcyclist Martin Flores Killed in Crash on Bonds Flat Road

 
LA GRANGE, CA (March 30, 2021) – Authorities named the motorcyclist who died in a crash two weeks ago in La Grange.
 
The man was identified by CHP as 40-year-old Martin Flores of Modesto.
 
The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, on Bonds Flat Road near Blue Oak Recreation Area on Don Pedro Reservoir.
 
Flores was reportedly riding a 2006 Suzuki east on Bonds Flat Road when he let his motorcycle go on the south shoulder and struck a guardrail. He came to rest on a private roadway and the motorcycle landed in the eastbound lane of Bonds Flat Road.
 
A state Department of Fish and Wildlife warden who was driving in the area stopped and provided medical aid to the fallen rider, but unsuccessful. Flores died at the scene.
 
Authorities said the victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
 
Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
