Single Car Involved in Fatal Accident on Highway 160 in Antioch

 
ANTIOCH, CA (February 3, 2021) – A woman died in a car accident on Highway 160 in the early morning of January 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened at Main Street around 2:45 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim’s black Hyundai Elantra had veered off the roadway into the center median. Subsequently, it collided into the center concrete guardrail before it plunged down onto Main Street. The collision ejected her from her vehicle.
 
As a result, the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office said the woman died in the incident. Officers only identified her as a 25-year-old Oakland resident.
 
Officials said alcohol or drugs are possible factors in the accident but it is still under investigation. In addition, they ask anyone who witnessed this accident on Highway 160 to contact Contra Costa CHP at (925) 646-4980. At this point, no other details are available.
