Jose Hernandez Hospitalized, Alexander Ayala Involved in Nipomo Pedestrian Accident

 
NIPOMO, CA (September 12, 2022) — Jose Perez Hernandez suffered major injuries in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near Tefft Street on Friday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 1:31 p.m. For unclear reasons, 29-year-old Alexander Ayala allowed his southbound vehicle to drift into the right shoulder and sideswipe a Caltrans truck.
 
Subsequently, his 2006 GMC Sierra struck 42-year-old Hernandez, who partook in completing road repairs with a Caltrans crew.
 
Following the impact, Ayala’s vehicle came to a rest on the southbound shoulder.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and took Hernandez to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment.
