34-Year-Old Man Dies in Pedestrian Crash in Victorville

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (September 12, 2022) – Tonatiuh Diaz was killed in a pedestrian accident in Victorville early Thursday morning, September 8.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:27 a.m. on Highway 18 at Stoddard Wells Road. Police said Diaz was walking in the first lane of the westbound highway when a Nissan Altima struck him. The impact caused him major injuries.
 
Paramedics rushed 34-year-old Diaz to a local hospital, where he later died.
 
The occupants of the Nissan were not injured. The driver and a witness remained on scene.
 
Deputies with the Victorville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation.
