Woman Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run on Divisadero Street near Maddy Drive [Fresno, CA]

Pedestrian Hurt after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Downtown Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (October 4, 2021) – A woman suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run on Divisadero Street in downtown Fresno Monday two weeks ago.
 
The accident happened on September 20 near Maddy Drive. According to the Fresno Police Department, the woman was walking in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle turning onto Divisadero from Maddy struck her.
 
After the crash, the driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid. Police said the suspect is a woman between 20 and 30 years old.
 
Meanwhile, responding paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a hospital with a broken leg and other injuries. The victim is expected to recover.
 
The vehicle is a maroon, possibly a Nissan car. Its driver’s side turn signal would be damaged from the crash.
 
At this time, police are still investigating the incident and on the lookout for the suspect. They asked anyone with information to call them or Valley Crime Stoppers.
