BONITA, CA (October 4, 2021) – Two people suffered injuries in a car crash on Highway 125 on October 2.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at San Miguel Road at approximately 2:20 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, the victims’ car was traveling between the No. 1 and 2 lanes on the highway prior to the crash. Suddenly, it went off the highway and up the right shoulder. Then, the car traveled about 40 feet before hitting the base of an overcrossing and crashing back to the roadway.
 
As a result, a female passenger sustained major injuries in the incident. The male had moderate injuries. Paramedics transported both victims to a local hospital for treatment.
 
After a search in the vehicle, authorities found marijuana and prescription pills. The driver told the CHP that his SUV had bad tires and something had happened to cause him to lose control of the vehicle.
 
At this point, an investigation into this car crash on Highway 125 is ongoing.
