Passenger Dead in Wrong-Way Crash on Joaquin Miller Road in Oakland Hills

 
OAKLAND HILLS, CA (March 11, 2024) — A woman died in a wrong-way accident on Joaquin Miller Road near Crane Way.
 
According to Oakland Police, the deadly two-car crash happened around 4:59 a.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, an 18-year-old man was driving an Infiniti sedan southbound in the northbound lanes of Joaquin Miller Road. Subsequently, the Infiniti struck a northbound Honda SUV.
 
Shortly after, officers responded to the 4500 block of Joaquin Miller Road and located three occupants in each vehicle with various ranges of injuries.
 
Tragically, a 25-year-old woman in the rear seat of the Honda passed away in the crash. Authorities did not release her name.
 
Paramedics took a 40-year-old male Honda passenger and the 43-year-old male Honda driver to a hospital, where they remain in stable condition. Medics also took the teen Infiniti driver, his 18-year-old female passenger and a 19-year-old male passenger in for care.
