Two Cars Collide on 17th Street East in Lancaster Killing One Driver

 
LANCASTER, CA (March 11, 2024) – A man was killed in a two-car accident at 17th Street East and Avenue K in Lancaster on Saturday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:45 p.m. on March 9. According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Department, the man was driving a Kia Forte and was turning south onto 17th Street East from Avenue K.
 
As he was turning his car, a Subaru WRX heading east on Avenue K struck his car.
 
As a result, the man suffered significant injuries. Paramedics rushed him to Antelope Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately released.
 
The woman driving the Subaru stayed on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
