Driver Dies after Crash with Semi Truck on Richardson Road in El Mirage

 
EL MIRAGE, CA (February 15, 2024) – A woman was killed in a traffic accident at Richardson Road and El Mirage Road on Wednesday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:58 a.m. on February 14. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the woman was driving a white Toyota Corolla when she struck the back of a semi truck that was making a right turn off El Mirage Road.
 
As a result of the crash, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
The driver of the semi truck was unharmed.
 
Officers said the semi appeared to be transporting a generator. It is unknown whether it was in the process of slowing down for a nearby power plant at the time of the crash.
 
This fatality is still under investigation.
