Three-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Oxnard Leaves Woman Dead

 
OXNARD, CA (June 27, 2022) – A woman was killed in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 101 in Oxnard on Friday afternoon, June 24.
 
The accident happened around 1:47 p.m. just north of Oxnard Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 61-year-old Ventura woman was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup.
 
In front of her was a 53-year-old Ventura man driving a 2011 Ford F-250 pickup. In front of the Ford was a 75-year-old Camarillo man driving a BMW 750i.
 
As traffic slowed, the woman’s Chevrolet could not stop in time and struck the Ford. The Ford then hit the BMW.
 
As a result of the crash, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Her name was withheld pending next of kin notification.
 
The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries. The BMW driver was unharmed.
 
At this time, this fatal crash remains under investigation.
