Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Car on Vermont Avenue in Gardena

 
GARDENA, CA (February 15, 2024) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident at Vermont Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard.
 
According to the Gardena Police Department, the pedestrian accident happened around 4:00 a.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a woman driving southbound on Vermont Avenue struck a female pedestrian. Immediately after, the driver pulled over and waited for authorities, who arrived shortly after and found the gravely injured victim.
 
Due to her condition, paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she passed away. Officials have not released her name.
