Woman Dies after Struck by Multiple Vehicles along South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach

 
LAGUNA BEACH, CA (February 7, 2023) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach Sunday night on February 5.
 
According to the Laguna Beach Police Department, the female pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when she tried to cross the busy road. A number of vehicles then struck her near the 30600 block of South Coast Highway around 6:00 p.m.
 
First responders treated the woman at the scene before taking her to a hospital.
 
Sadly, the woman did not survive and was declared dead. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
The involved motorists stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing. Police urged anyone with further information to call them at 949-497-0701.
